Routes
UVC Running Club has three different routes to suit you. We have direct access to the Pikes Peak Greenway trail system and have provided, for the convenience UVC Running Club members, routes using WalkJogRun to show our 4 mile round trip course heading north and our 6 mile round trip course heading south. For those who prefer to walk, we have a 1 mile on-site walking course. You choose your course and your distance!
Both the running and the walking routes begin in the North Plaza (by Smashburger). The running routes head toward the Costco gas station at the northwest corner of the center. There is a break in the wall that takes you down the sidewalk to the Pikes Peak Greenway trail. Simply run down the sidewalk to the trail and choose your direction, north or south.
For the North Route, follow the trail past Criterium Bike Shop to the other side of the wooden bridge just south of the Comfort Inn and return for a 4 mile round trip.
For the South Route, we are able to link our distance with the City's Pikes Peak Greenway distance markers.
The 35.5 mile marker is our 1 mile point.
The 34.5 mile marker at the skate park is 2 miles.
The 33.5 mile marker just before the Fillmore Street overpass is the
3 mile turn around point for 6 miles round trip.
